art I – characters

All hand-painted, both Western and Eastern influences play enormous roles in Jodi’s work. While she enjoys using western ink and watercolours, she has a fondness for fude, natural Japanese paint brushes. Her illustrations, featured here in three categories, are created with the blotted line drawing technique using ink and watercolour on paper, and her “bubbles” paintings, where each and every single bubble is individually painted by hand, with watercolour on either canvas or paper.
